Greetings! I do hope you are doing well. There is so much to tell you. This newsletter is going out to so many people I have lost contact with over the last couple of years.
Back in March 2021, I went into what was supposed to be semi-retirement. Well, that didn’t last too long. I felt uncomfortable notifying most of my clients at Integrative Healing Institute (IHI) simply because they were the clients of IHI. However, earlier this month IHI permanently closed their doors and went on to further adventures. Thus, I am contacting clients to let them know what’s going on and where I have set up business again.
I have mostly been doing energy work and manual lymphatic drainage for post-cosmetic surgery patients since my departure from IHI. In the beginning, it was just mobile or online sessions. Then I began to rent a massage room at Majestic Massage by the hour. Well, that grew. I soon moved in and rented a room by the month at A Healing Place with Patty Sheperd. Some of you may remember her from IHI as well. I now have my entire array of tools available to me again and some new ones as well. I’m back to full-time. I have even more training than before. Yep – I amped my game.
Let’s start with manual lymphatic drainage. I am now a fully Certified Lymphedema Therapist. I completed the Norton School of Lymphatic Drainage’s Complete Decongestive Therapy Course. What does this mean? Well, I’m even more qualified to do manual lymphatic drainage. I could work in a hospital setting if I chose to with this credential. I can also assist with compression. Have you had recent surgery on your shoulder or knee and you still have swelling? Well, I work with that. Recently had plastic surgery and have swelling and other recovery issues? I’m very qualified for that – I even took more training in fibrosis and scar treatment.
Next, let’s talk about energy work. Did you know there is more than just Usui Reiki? Yep, there are several forms of Reiki. It has evolved.
Those that know me, know that I have taken Reiki, 1, 2, and Master’s from multiple Reiki Masters over the years and teach it as well. I can now add another level to this. I took Holy Fire III ® Karuna Reiki ® Master Training from William Rand at the International Center for Reiki Training. This allows me to teach Reiki online. Oh – and there are way more symbols and more techniques. I will be teaching online via The Audacious Spirit. Oh, and talking about The Audacious Spirit… I am now a fully Ordained Minister. I finally finished the full Shamanic Ministry & Teaching Program. It was a long four years, but boy was it worth it! Talk about an amazing, life-altering, audacious experience. I highly recommend attending. I even work as a teacher at TAS. Currently, I am also the TA for the Shamanic Foundations Class.
Body Contouring is next on this list. Well, to be honest, that will require its own space. There is so much to tell you. I have new machines – yes there is an “s” there. The machines include Radio Frequency, Ultrasonic Cavitation, LED Therapy, Microcurrent Therapy, Electro-Muscular Stimulation, and Vacuum Cupping.
I have also taken more courses in this department as well. Besides the training on the new machines, I took wood therapy. Now for body contouring, I perform Lypossage, Machine Assisted Body Contouring, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Gua Sha, and Wood Therapy.
If you come to see me at my new office you may see some familiar faces. Patty Sheperd is a
rehabilitative massage therapist with phenomenal skills and talents. She works with those with bound joints and scar tissue issues. She also has special training for burn survivors. Trust me when I say this doesn’t even cover her full skill set.
You may also see Autumn (a.k.a. Pam) teaching yoga. Again, there is amazing talent there. I send clients to her for structural integration and flexibility training. She has gone to London for specialized training.
There are other talents at A Healing Place as well. Viv is another amazing massage therapist that works with deep tissue and sports. Shary is a massage therapist that can work with you for relaxation. And Diane is another new addition that will be there soon. She is a physical therapist that will be available for evaluations.

I will be teaching classes online going forward. I have several classes I have taught in the past, but I have even more - including 4 levels of Reiki.
These classes will be offered via The Audacious Spirit. Many of you have taken the Chakra Basics class. The online version is so much more. I have taught online a few times now and I have to say I love it so much more. There is more time for meditation. There is more time to digest the information. There is more discussion. It is more engaging. The online experience is just - More.
